If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you might have seen it already, but now it’s really here. I have accomplished a new challenge! My first sock knitting pattern is online available, in English or Dutch. I gave the pattern, quite appropriate, the name ‘First‘. You can purchase the pattern in my Etsy and Ravelry shop.
The sock knitting pattern: First
The pattern was tested and the responses were enthusiastic. The socks are knitted toe-up, with a ‘Fleegle Heel’, a little lace in it, two small cables and twisted stitches. In short, anything and everything. Still, I think that the pattern is easy to knit if you are familiar with knit and purl, with increases and decreases. I have added some YouTube links of various stitches, so that you can still find some extra support there. You will also receive two charts with the pattern, for those who prefer to knit with a chart. I have described the socks line by line, so that you can give each line a check what you have already knitted, handy right? 🙂 The socks are knitted in size UK 7½, US 9½ and EU size 40, but they are easy to adjust to a larger or smaller size.
Yarn kits
I have also put together three yarn kits that allow you to knit the socks. Each kit contains the pattern (you will receive this by e-mail), a skein of sockyarn and a matching mini-skein to knit the toes, heel and cuff. The composition of the wool varies per kit, the details can be found in my Etsy shop.
